We had a fun time playing darts with Nick's co-worker last Friday. We were both a bit rusty, but Nick ended up wining all but one game, and I won the game he didn't win, so we've still got the skills!
Saturday we went to Japanese class, and stayed in on Sunday.
Monday morning, I met Miwa at Yokohama Station, and we took a highway bus to Gotemba, which has a big outlet mall and a gorgeous view of Mt. Fuji! We were starving by the time we got there, so we had lunch at the outlet mall and then did some shopping. We went in many stores, but in the end Miwa had only bought a bag of coffee beans, and I had a bag of clothes from the Gap -- which was good, I suppose, because we didn't spend very much money. The best part of our trip was seeing Mt. Fuji. It seemed like it was so close to us, but it was still very far away -- it is just enormous! While I was taking some pictures, I heard rumbling noises coming from the mountain, but I have yet to determine if it was coming from inside the mountain or from some kind of avalanches on the mountain itself. The last time Mt. Fuji erupted was in 1708, and is considered a dormant volcano, but I have to imagine there is still lava flowing in there somewhere... Enjoy the pictures!

Tuesday I stayed in -- went grocery shopping, worked out, etc.
Wednesday I met Miwa for lunch in Kawasaki (no, I did not purchase any motorcycles or jetskis while I was there, Christopher...). We had lunch at the only California Pizza Kitchen in Japan. They did not have my favorite kind of pizza (greek) or my favorite crust (honey wheat), but they did have my favorite soup (tortilla) -- so we shared a bowl of soup and a three cheese and tomato pizza and root beers. It was very good, and the closest thing I have had to American food (besides McDonalds, Hard Rock, and Outback, maybe even closer than those!) since I got here. It was Miwa's first time to have root beer, and she said it tasted like mint and vanilla. I never thought about the taste of root beer but it was fun to hear her describe it, because it made me taste it again and appreciate the flavor. We were quite full after lunch, and I even had two pieces of pizza left to bring to Nick, which he has not eaten yet -- maybe he will this weekend.

After lunch, I went to HK5, where we discussed concerts, snowboarding, and movies.
Thursday and today I stayed in. I was going to go grocery shopping again today, but I spent wayyyyy too much money on my last trip there, so I have to make do with what I have until next week (tee hee!). While I ate my lunch, I watched a movie my mom sent me for Christmas, "Laws of Attraction", which was a total chick flick, but the story was cute, and I will spend an hour and a half anytime to look at Pierce Brosnan (very nice! and the best Bond ever, hands down). Tomorrow we have our last Japanese class for this "term" and I think we will have about a week off before we start back up again. Tomorrow night we are meeting some of Nick's co-workers for a party at an Irish Bar in Shinjuku. I hate going to and coming back from Shinjuku on a Saturday night, but the party starts early, so we should be able to leave before the trains get too crowded with drunk, vomiting, smelly people. No plans Sunday, except to clean the bathroom and workout (not at the same time, of course!) Have a great weekend!

I miss you!!
I think that house cleaning counts as a workout.
Your pictures were very nice.
WHellll, the elusive Fuji-san =P
That first photo of Mt. Fuji looks like a fake backdrop!!! Are you sure you were there? Ha, ha....
I concur, Pierce Brosnan was the best, but wait until you see the new one - WOW!!! A more "natural" handsome. Pierce's still #1!
