Not much has been going on lately, hence the major lapse in posting. Last time there was such a lapse it was because I was busy, not so this time -- just a lack of activity. Anyway, here's what I've been up to...
Saturday before last, we went to our last Japanese class of our first "term". But the good news is, we are taking 10 more classes! Saturday night we met Nick's manager/supervisor and some co-workers at Inishmoore Irish Pub in Ebisu (Tokyo). It was a nice bar, and although it was three floors, it was still small and quiet. The healthiest thing on the menu was fish and chips, so Nick and I split one. It was my first time to ever have fish and chips! Strange huh? I didn't have fish and chips when I was in London, but I had it in Tokyo... hmm... Maybe next I'll go to Canada and eat burritos. We didn't stay out very late, but still got stuck on a packed train home. I wanted to take a video of the train, just to give everyone back home an idea of how many people squeeze themselves on (you think you know, but you have no idea...multiply whatever number you think by 10 and then you might be close), but my batteries were dead. :(
Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I stayed in and laid pretty low, with the exception of a trip to the grocery store on Monday.
Wednesday I met Ken for lunch before HK5. There were only two people at HK5 this week -- Masao and Kana, and we talked about concerts again. After class, I met Miwa for coffee and shopping at George's for incense. After our coffee, Miwa headed for the gym, and I went to Sports Authority to look for a ski boot carrier, snow hat, and sweat band. They only had ski boot bags, not carriers. They hats were OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. But, I did find a decent sweatband. Then, I headed home.
Thursday, I cleaned the apartment, did laundry, etc. in preparation for Miwa's visit on Friday to make granola bars. Unfortunately, Miwa came down wth a cold and was not able to visit -- rest up Miwa!
Friday night I met Nick in Ebina for a drink at Outback, and then we went to a Japanese-style restaurant in Atsugi and met up with some of Nick's co-workers for a welcome party for some of his new team members. After dinner, a few of us didn't feel like going home yet, so we went and sang karaoke again.

Saturday we went to our first Japanese class of our last "term". I am glad we are able to take 10 more classes, but it seems like it is getting even harder! Verbs and adjectives and their forms are no fun to learn boooooo.....
Sunday we stayed in and did our Japanese homework.
Monday and yesterday, I stayed in the apartment, and did chores, laundry, and made some granola bars for this weekend. I've also started to look for a job for when I go back to the US (48 days from today! I can't believe this is the last day of January!), so please keep me in mind if anyone knows of anything! Yesterday I had a wonderful suprise because I got a package from Charlotte and it really brightened my spirits because I was feeling a little down. Thanks Char!!
Today, I am going to HK5 and afterward, I think I am going to go to a ski shop to check out their hat selection because we are going skiing on Saturday!!! YAY!!!

You didn't tell me you were bummed - even after you talked to me? :(

Going to Sugarloaf? Ha, ha! Have fun!!!
It's good you didn't try fish and chips in London...they are rubbish. Much better in the North!
